Download the macOS installer. Close MacOS FTP, open the .pkg and follow the installation steps. It installs the app or updates an existing version while keeping saved connections and preferences.
Downloads
I develop MacOS FTP independently and offer it for free. I currently cannot afford the Apple Developer Program membership needed for Developer ID signing and notarization. The installer is therefore not signed with Developer ID or notarized by Apple, and macOS may block it when you first open it.
How to continue installation
If you trust this download, first open the .pkg and dismiss the warning with OK or Done. Go to Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security, then scroll down to Security. Next to the message about MacOS FTP, click Open Anyway. Authenticate with your password or Touch ID if asked, then click Open and follow the installer. This creates an exception for this package; you do not need to disable Gatekeeper.
Apple Support ↗Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14+. SFTP uses a server SHA256 fingerprint supplied by your administrator. Folder comparison uses metadata; remote editing supports files up to 20 MiB. Automatic folder synchronization and Intel builds are not included.

Why I built MacOS FTP.
I created MacOS FTP out of a practical need: to transfer files between my Mac and an FTP server without unnecessary hassle. Among the apps I tried, some had bugs that got in my way, others cost more than I could justify for what I needed, and others came with ads. I wanted a simple tool focused on the job.
That is the idea behind MacOS FTP: a clear interface, control over file transfers and useful features without ads in the app. I am making it available for free so it can help others with similar needs. It is still evolving, and bug reports and suggestions help me improve it. Donations are optional and support continued development.
